I’ll let you decide if writers make great editors! I’ve previously worked as a journalist, marketing content writer, and freelance author for coffee table books. If there’s one thing I love more than writing my own stories, it’s helping others bring theirs to life. The intricate weavings of plot lines, character arcs, and niche details the reader won’t notice but you will are my favorite part of editing. Let me help you take your dialogue, world-building, or voice to the next level so your manuscript is ready.
I received my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing & Editing from Regis University in Denver, and my Bachelor of Arts in Writing & Sociocultural Anthropology from Fort Lewis College. I completed my Master’s editing semester with Best American Short Stories editor, Heidi Pitlor (she’s worked with Stephen King and Roxanne Gay to give you an idea of who taught me how to edit!) to complete my requirement.
My favorite authors include Jandy Nelson, Emily X.R. Pan, Erin Morgenstern, Angie Thomas – I’m going to slow down before your TBR gets too long. I want to work with aspiring authors who want to capture the true experience of young adults to make their manuscripts truly stand out.
